Idol Project .. Introduction

Idol Project would have to be one of the shortest series I've yet seen... four OAV episodes and it's all over, short and sweet.

The series centers around a young girl Mimu, who dreams of becoming a popular idol like the well-known Yuri. She enters a competition and meets other popular idols, whom she befriends and later helps when they're all taken to another planet (what?). Yes, somewhat of a strange storyline, but this anime didn't really seem to be plot based, and instead tried to appeal via cuteness, fanservice and comedy - which it managed quite well. The result - quite an enjoyable series, but rather short, and possibly not for a younger audience (some may not appreciate the scattered nudity throughout). Worth a watch if you have the time, and possibly with a higher appeal for jpop fans - it has a great soundtrack.
